About the role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic API Technical Lead to join a dynamic and passionate team committed to delivering innovative ICT-based solutions to improve services in the disability sector. This exciting opportunity involves enhancing and delivering an API Integration platform that will go live in the coming months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a pivotal member of a multi-disciplinary scrum team focused on API delivery, utilizing Jira & Confluence.
  • Perform technical reviews of support changes to ensure adherence to best practices and organizational architecture patterns.
  • Lead the technical development of the API Gateway, following the principles of the digital platform architecture and project schedule.
  • Monitor the production environment and troubleshoot API and integration issues, particularly with MuleSoft.
  • Define and implement version control, branching, and deployment strategies for APIs.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on processes and configurations for CI/CD automations.
  • Document and maintain accurate technical specifications for features and system design.
  • Maintain existing APIs and adhere to governance standards.
  • Collaborate with testing, development, and operations teams.
  • Ensure the integration of internal and external systems using web services and REST APIs.
  • Build team capability through collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and training within the team.
  • Provide expertise in coding for MuleSoft API.
  • Submit weekly reports to relevant leadership.

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in designing and developing API Gateway integration solutions.
  • Experience in building and working with integration solutions (e.g., REST APIs, Platform Events).
  • Current MuleSoft certification and strong knowledge of Maven.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with CI/CD implementation.
  • Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., GitLab) and package-based development.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience with Cloudhub 2.
  • Familiarity with integrating CIAM.
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira, VSCode, and DevOps practices.
  • Enthusiasm for accessible design and development, with a focus on new ways of thinking about accessibility.
