We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Application Packaging Engineer to join our team. This role involves working with senior staff to automate and manage the installation and configuration of Windows applications across servers and desktops, with a focus on Intune and SCCM/MECM compatibility. Key Responsibilities:
- Automation & Configuration: Automate the installation, configuration, and security patch delivery of Windows applications, drivers, language packs, and vulnerability fixes for both Windows servers and desktops.
- Application Packaging Projects: Design, develop, coordinate, and manage application packaging projects from start to finish.
- Scripting: Write and maintain remediation and installation scripts using PowerShell to support application deployment and management.
- Root Cause Analysis: Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and remediation efforts on major Windows application packaging and deployments.
- Issue Diagnosis & Improvements: Troubleshoot Windows application deployment issues and coordinate package improvements and fixes.
Mandatory Criteria:
- Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of experience in:
- Automating Windows application packaging and configuration, including security patches, Windows feature updates, drivers, and language packs for servers and desktops.
- Designing, developing, and managing application packaging projects.
- Writing remediation and installation scripts using PowerShell.
- Deployment Tools: Proficient in enterprise-scale deployment tools such as SCCM/MECM, with experience in zero-touch Windows application deployments.
- Problem-Solving: Experience with diagnosing and resolving Windows application deployment issues, performing RCA, and implementing fixes.
Desirable Criteria:
- Enterprise Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop Operating Systems, Image Management, Application Packaging & Distribution, and performance monitoring tools in a large, distributed environment.
- System Administration: Experience with Active Directory, Intune, DHCP, DNS, and Group Policy in a distributed environment.
- Automation Systems: Expertise in enterprise application deployment and automation systems.
