Job details
Organisation is undertaking a multi-year program delivering its new case management capabilities. A critical transformational program that will change the design of how technology supports and enables the organisations core service delivery.
The Organisational Change & Product Adoption Lead will lead and coordinate all business change and readiness planning, including to design and implement the change management approach (processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards), establish a change framework that aligns with the product and solution design enablers (research, testing, continuous improvement/delivery, etc.). This will provide assurance the new solutions are fit for purpose and increase the adoption rate by the core end users.
This role will champion the end-to-end Change Management effort, which includes leveraging best practices and techniques in identifying, quantifying and tracking the change process to ensure the realisation of expected benefits defined in business cases, designing appropriate change management and communications strategies, formulating business impact assessments, enabling change readiness, delivery of stakeholder analysis and engagement plans and reporting on status and progress of change initiatives.
The role must support the achievement of program deliverables and align change to the agile delivery approach, risk & issue management, assurance requirements, benefits tracking and ongoing business operational change processes. A critical role in fostering operational excellence focused on continually improving efficiency, solution / product design, and ways of working to optimise business and operational performance in line with the agile delivery model and SRO's vision. This includes that the role work closely with, drive and support the engagement of internal learning and development capabilities to drive and support the design, development and delivery of training and product adoption pre and post program delivery.
To be successful this role must be a leader and key influencer, building and maintaining relationships with senior leadership and business stakeholders, and be a trusted advisor to the Program teams (e.g., product managers, senior advisors (SMEs), architects, analysts, training, communications, technology teams, etc). This role will champion 'Agile Ways of Working" and the Agile Product Management Lifecycle required to support the delivery and continuous improvement of new products and services and will support the business in managing the impact of new ways of working in Registry on operations, practice and procedures. This will include coaching and advising business leaders to help embed sustainable change into the new operations.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead, plan, direct and manage, in cross-functional, matrixed relationships, the CMS Program portfolio of change, ensuring that change activities and initiatives are aligned. Lead the development of key strategic plans, ensuring all change activities and communications align with the change and product adoption strategy and processes, proactively managing any dependencies. Lead the design and implementation of the change management approach (processes, methods, tools, guidelines and standards) and establish a change framework. Drive the operationalisation of the new ways of working and the realisation of business value/benefits.
- Strategic advice and policy: Provide authoritative strategic advice in organisational change and product adoption, ensuring alignment with and leverage of change management frameworks and methodology, to ensure adoption of key changes while minimising resistance to change. Develop, maintain and interpret policies, standards and processes that effect the provision of services, ensuring change activities deliver on business objectives.
- Management: Own the end-to-end Change Management work effort, which includes leveraging best practices and techniques in identifying, quantifying and tracking the change process and ensuring the realisation of expected benefits defined in business cases, Partner with colleagues to develop, integrate and implement effective training and communication plans, define, establish and formalise relevant community of practices to facilitate collaboration and best-practice sharing among the program and business teams, and identify, track and manage risk and broader change impact planning.
- Innovation and collaboration: Drive innovation and collaboration to improve products, service delivery and value/benefits realisation, including aligning change with Agile, Lean and DevOps methodologies, and identifying opportunities for standardisation of processes and practices. Design and undertake stakeholder analysis, impact assessments and business readiness assessments to identify emerging stakeholder issues and recommend options, solutions and advice to ensure success of the change management initiatives.
- Product and financial management: Drive, design and develop metrics for the measurement of change effectiveness and business readiness to gain insight and take corrective action. Contribute to, define, and implement practices to support defining and measuring business benefits realisation. Ensures change reporting is accurate and provides information to enable decision making and assessment of impacts on organisations core business delivery and operations.
- Stakeholder management: Manage expectations of all stakeholders including influencing product owners and key business stakeholders and internal customers, negotiation on competing priorities and operating under time constraints and defined requirements to achieve goals. Engage with program sponsors, business owners, product owners and stakeholders, including implementing communication strategies, manage relationships, foster working relationships, and create strong engagement around preparing, implementing and managing change initiatives. Ensure responsiveness to customer needs, transparency of delivery and clear understanding of business priority and strategic relevance of business initiatives is well communicated. Support and participate in preparation and execution of solution implementation and product adoption/transition approach.
