A new opportunity has opened up for a Cyber Security Engineer to join the team, focused on strengthening the organisation's security framework.

Your role

  • Proactively monitor security alerts and threat intelligence to shape response strategies.
  • Use various tools to identify and evaluate vulnerabilities
  • Assess potential vendors and their solutions, delivering clear risk assessments to support informed business decisions.
  • Design and implement data loss prevention strategies to protect data on managed endpoints.
  • Develop and manage identity and access management systems, including provisioning, role-based controls, single sign-on, and privileged access management.
  • Execute and evaluate actions from audits and maturity assessments.
  • Create metrics to measure the effectiveness of the security posture.
  • Lead investigations into smaller security incidents and support the management of larger incidents, continuously recommending improvements.
  • Manage and maintain cybersecurity infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain Microsoft Sentinel playbooks and workbooks.
  • Cultivate relationships with key technology and information stakeholders to enhance their cybersecurity awareness and support their needs.
  • Implement deliverables from cybersecurity maturity enhancement projects.
  • Provide mentorship and share knowledge with team members.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience in Security Incident Response and Handling or a Security Operation Centre
  • Understanding of cyber security principles and risk management frameworks.
  • Proven experience in Microsoft Defender Suite Products
  • Technical knowledge and experience in cyber security analysis and solution implementation
  • Experience of implementing data loss prevention, identity management, security information & event management and other security tools, ideally with the Microsoft toolset.
  • Experience of full life cycle project implementations.
