Key Responsibilities:
As a Data Engineer, your daily tasks will include:

  • Developing, testing, and supporting end-to-end data flows and pipelines for both batch and near real-time environments.
  • Designing and implementing data models tailored to business requirements across different use cases and industry domains.
  • Leveraging your knowledge of data architectures, modern platforms, and associated technologies to deliver future-ready solutions.
  • Applying data modelling techniques like Third Normal Form (3NF), Dimensional Modelling, ER Models, and Data Vault to meet client needs.
  • Collaborating with internal and external consultants in workshops and project delivery engagements.
  • Creating Proof of Concepts and working demos to showcase capabilities.
  • Mentoring junior team members and fostering their professional growth.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in IT consulting or technology roles (design, development, testing, or support).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Big Data/Data Lake services in both cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing data models using techniques like Dimensional Modelling on Star or Snowflake Schemas.
  • Proficiency in tools like Erwin and Sparx Systems Enterprise Architect for data model design.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI solutions.
  • Strong programming and scripting skills in Python, Scala, SQL, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP, and IBM, including services like Azure Synapse and Cosmos DB.
  • Solid understanding of containerization, virtualization, infrastructure, and networking.
  • Leadership experience, including mentoring and team management.
