About Our Client:


On behalf of our government client, we are seeking an experienced Data Modeller to join their team on a contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale transformation program.


Role Overview:


The Data Modeller will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data modelling solutions across various database platforms, including relational, dimensional, and NoSQL. This role is ideal for a professional with strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for improving enterprise data management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver complex data modelling tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Translate business requirements into effective long-term data models.
  • Assess and improve existing data systems.
  • Collaborate with Agile Delivery teams to design conceptual data models and data flows.
  • Establish best practices for data coding and implement analytical solutions.
  • Support data governance and quality initiatives.
  • Optimise data models and troubleshoot system issues.

Essential Criteria:

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in data modelling.
  • Proficiency in metadata management, statistical analysis, and data tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client management skills.
  • Proven experience in team leadership and technical documentation.
  • Expertise in cloud-based data solutions (data warehouse, data lake, big data).

Desirable Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with Commonwealth ICT and data frameworks.
  • Relevant certifications in Data Modelling.
