A leading client is seeking a highly skilled Business Transformation Consultant to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial in building and supporting a big data platform, collaborating with stakeholders, and driving significant enterprise projects. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, process owners, and users to understand service/product requirements.
  • Work alongside solution architects and designers to translate business needs into actionable epics, features, and stories for the delivery team.
  • Engage with stakeholders, external partners, and conduct research to define Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs), ensuring solutions meet quality and standard expectations.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, solution architects, developers, and testers.
  • Understand divisional and group objectives, aligning product strategies with business and technology goals.
  • Assess and communicate trade-offs between quality, benefits, risk, budget, timelines, and user experience to project stakeholders.
  • Support project teams, remove impediments, and demonstrate leadership.
  • Mentor junior consultants within the practice and client engagements.

Professional and Technical Expertise

  • 10+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or equivalent in IT consulting or technology-focused roles.
  • Proven experience in enterprise/big data projects, blending technical and business knowledge.
  • Expertise in designing data mappings, including data transformations, business rules, and reporting requirements.
  • Familiarity with traditional database and data modeling concepts like referential integrity and entity-relationship modeling.
  • Strong ability to gather and synthesize large volumes of information, manage requirement changes, and clarify expectations with the business.
  • Experience developing complex ETL/ELT data pipelines.
  • Proficiency in conducting workshops with business and technical SMEs for requirement analysis.
  • Advanced skills in SQL for data querying and analysis.
  • Understanding of data engineering and data modeling methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of Big Data application architecture and Agile methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Flexible, adaptable, and proactive in client engagements, with a commitment to exceeding expectations.
  • Familiarity with project delivery frameworks, such as Scaled Agile, Kanban, Waterfall, and Distributed Agile.
  • Strong documentation skills, including requirements specifications, epics, and user stories.
  • Project management skills, such as budgeting, performance management, risk management, and change control, are a plus.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various data roles and responsibilities.
  • Familiarity with performance-sensitive, business-critical design principles.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS, GCP, IBM, and other modern data platforms.
  • Awareness of containerization, virtualization, infrastructure, and networking concepts.
  • Knowledge of software development life cycles and methodologies.
  • Strong presentation and influencing skills.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related Engineering field.
  • Industry-recognized technology certifications are highly desirable.
