We are looking for experienced SQL database and applications developer to work under the direction of Technical Leads and Directors, with experience in the maintenance, design and development of new and legacy software applications. Strong technical and development skills, stakeholder engagement and relationship management and experience in developing clear and comprehensive technical documentation are required.

The role

Under the direction of the Technical Lead and Director, you will be responsible for:

• Design, build, test and deploy applications using technologies including SQL, Delphi, C++, Centura (Team Developer 7) & .Net core.
• Work with Technical Lead and Subject Matter Experts to translate user stories into technical designs for implementation and deployment.
• Plan, document, and manage deliverables (tasks and stories in DevOps) assigned to you.
• Monitor and support production issues and incidents.
• Remediate and uplift application infrastructure to supported server platforms or cloud based solutions.

Knowledge and experience

• 5+ Years development experience in SQL Database development, management and support using SQL Server 2008+ (Mid to Senior level position)
• Strong experience in application development using Delphi, C++, Centura (Team Developer 7), & .Net core.
• Experience using Visual Studio 2017+
• Experience in technical analysis, design and documentation
• Experience in Azure, Git, DevOps pipeline deployment
• Experience using agile methodologies (i.e. SAFe)

Skills and capabilities

• Tertiary qualifications in software design and development
• UX design background with experience with accessibility
• Experience with modernization and conversion of older applications and infrastructure
