  • Are you an experienced .Net Developer looking to make a meaningful impact in the Aged Care sector? Join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at the Department of Health's Aged Care Development Section! We are seeking motivated individuals who thrive in an agile environment and are eager to contribute to the MyAgedCare (Aged Care Gateway) System.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with System Analysts to develop detailed designs and assist with prototypes and system mock-ups.
    • Produce and maintain technical documentation, including technical designs and service requirements.
    • Build technical solutions based on functional design specifications.
    • Conduct peer reviews of developed products and unit test scripts.
    • Identify and progress risks, issues, and opportunities for the business.
    • Provide support during testing and warranty phases by triaging and resolving defects/issues.

    What We're Looking For: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following attributes:

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to build and maintain collaborative working relationships with project team members and IT Operations Team.
    • Advanced planning and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering quality outcomes.
    • Comfort operating in both technology and business environments, with a multi-tasking attitude.
    • Highly motivated and able to work with limited supervision to achieve results.
    • Willingness to participate in daily stand-up meetings facilitated by the Project Manager.

    Experience & Qualifications:

    • Demonstrable experience in .Net web development using C# and ASP.NET MVC 4/5.
    • Proficiency in developing with the latest .NET frameworks, including .NET Core, with in-depth knowledge of generics and LINQ.
    • Familiarity with common development patterns like factories, interfaces, repositories, and dependency injection.
    • Experience using Mock Frameworks.
    • Proficiency in developing user interfaces that meet Accessibility/WCAG requirements.
    • Experience within an agile methodology is desirable; familiarity with SAFe Agile is a plus.
    • Tertiary qualification with an IT/Software development focus is desirable but not essential.

    Tools You'll Use: You should be comfortable with the following tools or be able to quickly acquire these skills:

    • Visual Studio 2019
    • GIT
    • Azure DevOps
