About the Biosecurity Digital Reform Branch:

As part of our innovative Biosecurity Digital Reform Branch, you will play a crucial role in providing retail digital and data services within a fast-paced, agile environment. This is an exciting opportunity to tackle unique challenges and collaborate closely with biosecurity and compliance teams.

Position Overview:

Under the guidance of the Technical Lead and Director, you will be responsible for:

  • Writing clean, efficient code for iOS applications.
  • Supporting the entire application lifecycle from concept through design, testing, release, and support.
  • Troubleshooting and fixing bugs to ensure code security and cleanliness.
  • Recommending enhancements to improve usability, user engagement, and overall app performance.
  • Staying updated on mobile technology trends, applications, and protocols.
  • Conducting UI/UX testing, functional testing, and performance testing to identify bugs and challenges.
  • Ensuring adherence to best practices for security and data privacy.
  • Utilizing version control systems to manage code repositories.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and product managers, to understand business requirements.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience as an iOS Developer.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile product design lifecycles.
  • Proven experience in iOS development using Swift.
  • Familiarity with iOS frameworks (e.g., Core Data, Core Animation).
  • Expertise in RESTful APIs for seamless integration with various testing tools.
  • In-depth understanding of the iOS release cycle and CI/CD platforms.
  • Proficiency in version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
