Your role

As a Junior Cyber Security Operations Analyst, you will play a vital role in safeguarding the Agency's systems, users, and data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct monitoring, investigation, and mitigation of security incidents using tools like Microsoft Defender 365, Azure Security Centre, IntSights, and Splunk.
• Analyse security event data to detect suspicious/malicious activity across networks and systems.
• Execute incident response activities as directed, adhering to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Escalate complex incidents and collaborate with Subject Matter Experts as necessary.
• Conduct and manage phishing simulations to enhance security awareness.
• Research emerging threats and vulnerabilities relevant to the Agency's threat landscape.
• Perform log analysis and develop visualisations and reports using Splunk.
• Collaborate with Security Operations and IT engineers to deploy and manage security controls.
• Demonstrate ability to work autonomously under broad direction and quickly acquire knowledge across various technologies.
