We are currently seeking experienced and motivated Delivery Managers to lead major ICT projects, specifically in partnership with the National Measurement Institute (NMI) for the LIMS Simplification Project.
About the Role: As the Delivery Manager for the LIMS Simplification Project, you will play a key role in coordinating and overseeing the successful delivery of a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This collaborative project involves multiple stakeholders and aims to:
- Create a unified foundation for chemical and biological laboratories.
- Mitigate risks related to ICT system maintenance and security.
- Enhance process efficiency, service delivery, and client satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor and track project progress, ensuring alignment with delivery timelines and objectives.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including developers, external vendors, and project staff.
- Maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and logs for risks, issues, and changes.
- Facilitate regular meetings to resolve blockers and ensure progress.
- Prepare project reports and deliverables for Project Manager review.
- Assist in preparing stakeholder presentations and updates.
- Support resource allocation and team coordination.
- Track vendor deliverables and monitor contract compliance.
- Serve as a point of contact for communications with vendors and suppliers.
- Assist in deployment planning, readiness checks, and documentation.
- Monitor and escalate project risks and issues, documenting mitigation actions.
- Organize team training, onboarding sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities.
Skills and Experience Required:
Essential:
- Proven experience in delivery management of complex ICT projects.
- Strong project planning, monitoring, and reporting skills.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage external vendors.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in risk management, including documentation and escalation processes.
- Ability to manage project documentation and prepare reports and presentations.
- Strong problem-solving skills to facilitate issue resolution and project progression.
Desirable:
- Background in laboratory or scientific project management.
- Familiarity with ICT system deployment and readiness planning.
- Experience with training and knowledge-sharing facilitation.
