We are seeking experienced Software Engineers (Oracle Developers) to join our Corporate Systems Branch (CSB) team. This role is crucial for maintaining and enhancing Oracle-based business applications that support critical operations.
As part of a small, multi-disciplinary team, you'll contribute to delivering innovative solutions for business needs while ensuring the stability and efficiency of existing Oracle applications. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a digital transformation journey, enhancing service delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Develop and maintain Oracle databases, including schemas, tables, views, indexes, triggers, and procedures using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Optimise database performance, scalability, security, and availability using Oracle tools and best practices.
- Design and execute unit test cases, debug issues, and maintain code quality standards.
- Collaborate with business analysts, testers, and other technical teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders as needed.
- Investigate and resolve production system issues promptly to minimise downtime.
- Research and recommend new Oracle database features and improvements to existing systems.
- Create and maintain comprehensive production support documentation.
- Follow change control processes to implement solutions efficiently.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking creative problem-solvers with strong technical and analytical expertise. The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience in Oracle development, particularly maintaining and enhancing large-scale applications.
- A deep understanding of Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and associated frameworks.
