Role - PC Deployment Technician / IT Technician / Deployment Engineer

Duration - Short Term Assignment

Location : Melbourne CBD

Starts next week

The Role

• You will be assisting in de-installing and installing the laptops on client location based in Melbourne.
• Technician to unpack the laptops and assist the technical support team in preparing the devices for distribution (Instructions will be provided)
• Move the devices to the device swap area as per the schedule.
• Collect the old devices from the users and hand over the new devices.
• Complete checklists - Old and new devices.
• Assist the end-user in resolving issues as per "How to Guide" (Instructions will be provided). Assist end users in creating IT tickets for any unresolved issues.
• Complete the post-deployment checks and get the physical signoff from the end user.
• Update the user and device details in a spreadsheet for tracking.
• Move the old devices to a central location and pack them into the old boxes.
• Dispose of the excess rubbish at the on-site rubbish bins as directed by the local site contact.

Skills/Experience

• Degree or diploma in information technology or equivalent qualification is a must
• 2- 5 year's experience as a Technician/Support Engineer/IT Technician
• Experience with device management is required for this role
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to liaise with numerous stakeholders
• Experience working with customers
• Available to start next week
