About the Role:
As a Project Officer - Interoperability, reporting to the Assistant Director in the Digital Solutions Division, you will support the delivery of projects aligned with the Connecting Australian Healthcare - National Healthcare Interoperability Plan 2023-2028 (Interoperability Plan) and other innovative digital health initiatives.

Your primary focus will be to contribute to the implementation of priority actions outlined in the Interoperability Plan, designed to enable the safe, secure, and seamless sharing of consumer health information across Australia. You will also help coordinate and deliver key milestones for the Healthcare Identifiers (HI) Roadmap, working collaboratively with stakeholders across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate actions, activities, and projects outlined in the Interoperability Plan and HI Roadmap.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans, discussion papers, and initiatives related to digital health and interoperability.
  • Assist in preparing progress reports, updates, and key documents for senior stakeholders.
  • Promote a positive and collaborative working environment that encourages teamwork and innovation.
  • Support the management of procurement, contracts, and finance processes within the Agency.

About You:
We are seeking a highly organised professional with a passion for digital health and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in supporting digital health or digital transformation projects, including creating and managing integrated project schedules.
  • Strong knowledge of digital health initiatives and interoperability principles.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to address complex and sensitive issues.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare ministerial briefs, reports, and strategic documents.
  • Understanding of procurement, contracts, and financial management in a project environment.
