We are seeking an experienced SAP HANA/BASIS Administrator to provide expert management and maintenance of our SAP platforms. In this role, you will ensure the security and operational support of our SAP systems, with some out-of-hours work required for scheduled tasks or complex incidents (compensated with time off in lieu).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily health checks of production systems and fine-tune performance issues.
  • Initiate in-house tests, troubleshoot, and resolve identified issues.
  • Monitor and advise on SAP Java systems, ensuring system capacity and availability.
  • Manage database load and take preventive measures to avoid high response times.
  • Create task cards for regular interventions by staff for quick issue resolution.
  • Assist with system patching and kernel upgrades, including daily health checks and on-demand tasks.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot HANA Workload Management (WLM) and dashboard applications.
  • Engage in Change Management processes, including assessments and implementation of changes.
  • Develop detailed cutover checklists and project plans incorporating technical and operational tasks.
  • Collaborate with system owners to prepare for testing and ensure effective remediation.
  • Provide cutover status reporting to project leadership and stakeholders.
  • Use third-party tools (e.g., DCRUM, Dynatrace, Grafana) to monitor systems availability and load.
  • Work closely with the Network Operations team to prioritize system resolution.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support to ensure 24/7 system availability.
  • Resolve production incidents logged via OpenText Service Manager.

Candidate Selection Criteria:

Mandatory Criteria:

  • Minimum of 5 years of SAP BASIS experience in a large and complex environment.

Weighted Criteria:

  • Experience with multiple SAP technologies (e.g., CRM, ERP, Java, HANA).
  • Familiarity with implementing Early Watch Alert recommendations.
  • Experience with SAP ABAP and HANA performance tuning.
  • Proven incident resolution and root cause analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of SAP system upgrades and associated tasks.
  • Experience with HANA & DB2 as the database platform for SAP applications.
