We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP Developer to join a dynamic Digital and Technology Division (DTS) team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing and supporting the SAP system, working closely with internal teams to deliver client-centered solutions and improve system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior SAP Developer, you will be responsible for:

  • Triaging and resolving SAP support queries efficiently, providing user support, assisting with problem determination and resolution, and offering training where necessary.
  • Writing custom ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) code to develop new functionalities or enhance existing ones.
  • Conducting custom development activities, including requirements gathering, application design, coding, testing, documentation, and unit testing.
  • Transforming business requirements into technical design documents and programming tasks, reviewing and approving design and programming deliverables.
  • Developing reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms.
  • Analyzing and fixing issues in custom code or standard SAP programs.
  • Performing performance tuning of existing code to improve efficiency.
  • Maintaining and improving SAP development tools, applying technical updates, managing development processes, and troubleshooting problems.
  • Providing technical guidance to the team for designing roles, permissions, privileges, and profiles for application security based on business processes.
  • Assisting in planning for future cloud migration and ERP Modernisation Strategic Projects.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in SAP software development, particularly with SAP ECC6 on-premise systems.
  • Expertise in ABAP programming and development.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Experience in custom development, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, and documentation.
  • Knowledge of SAP performance tuning techniques and experience in improving system efficiency.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams including finance and corporate systems.
  • Familiarity with cloud migration and ERP modernisation projects is highly desirable.
