On behalf of our client, we are seeking a highly skilled Tech Lead / Senior Developer - SAS to lead the delivery of cutting-edge Credit Risk technology solutions. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with strong technical expertise and leadership skills to drive solution design, implementation, and governance activities.

The Role:


As a Tech Lead / Senior Developer - SAS, you will work closely with stakeholders, service owners, and technical teams to design, develop, and implement robust data solutions. You will provide technical oversight, ensure adherence to design principles, and contribute to the strategic evolution of the client's Credit Risk systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Credit Risk Business Stakeholders, Service Owners, Solution Engineers, and Line of Business Leads to assess and prioritize requirements.
  • Understand and analyze Credit Risk-related data elements, including reference data, metadata, and data lineage.
  • Guide Agile teams in designing, developing, testing, and supporting technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
  • Translate business requirements into IT solution concepts and designs, ensuring alignment with principles and standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for production incidents and provide effective solutions to ensure stability and sustainability.
  • Provide input into high-level IT & Business Solution Design documents and cost estimates for development phases.
  • Lead end-to-end implementation planning and provide technical oversight for complex changes to business services.
  • Support and validate solution architectures for successful technology implementation.

What Our Client is Looking For:

  • 3+ years of experience as a SAS Tech Lead / Senior Developer in a similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience in delivering business and technology solutions with a focus on engineering complex data processes.
  • Expertise in Advanced SQL and SAS tools, including Base SAS, SAS/Macro, SAS DI Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, and SAS Management Console.
  • Experience in Big Data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Hive, HBase, Python) and Azure Cloud platforms (e.g., Synapse Analytics, CosmosDB).
  • Knowledge of data warehousing, modeling, and integration tools such as Informatica and Sterling, with familiarity in BI tools like IBM Cognos/TM1, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Hands-on experience with the SAS 9.4 or Viya platform and Azure cloud environments.
  • Deep understanding of Data Mesh Architecture and Domain Data Products concepts.
  • Proven experience in the Banking industry, particularly within the Credit Risk domain.
  • Advanced analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting capabilities.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with financial services operating environments and core applications.
  • Knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps practices.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
