DeliverablesRole & Responsibilities:
  • As a self-managing and proactive Delivery Manager you are responsible for the overall delivery of the EIAMS scope aligned to the Roadmap and PI objectives.
  • Creating or improving team strategies for effective planning, monitoring, reporting, establishment, and outcomes for the team to deliver business value.
  • Represent and drive your team in large scale events, including program increment planning, showcases or demonstrations, ART sync, inspect and adapt as well as synchronisation across the branch and improvement planning.
  • Ensure alignment of teams with agile and Kanban or scrum processes, practices, patterns, and principles in line with the Divisions SDLC.
  • In conjunction with the Product Owner, drive, manage and co-ordinate team objectives for the program increment, create and publish delivery plans/POAP for visibility and transparency and anticipate, recognise, and resolve impediments, solve problems, identify patterns, and manage dependencies.
  • Provide delivery leadership and direction to your team and ensure team members maintain a high-level of specialist, professional and/or technical expertise through coaching and training and implementing and promoting a climate of change and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and create project artefacts including sprint/project reports, project plans, resource plans etc.
  • Build and sustain mutually beneficial and collaborative relationships with stakeholders, including other Delivery Leads - consult and share information with own team and maximise team strengths to achieve outcomes.
  • Provide regular and accurate updates to Product Management and executive level staff.
  • Apply and maintain knowledge on the information management system, quality assurance and change control processes to co-ordinate quality reviews of documentation and processes to ensure effective management of deliverables.
  • Support BAU activities and out-of-hours and weekend releases as required.


Essential Criteria:
  • Significant experience in driving the delivery of technical projects and products in accordance with Agile methodologies.
  • Defining and documenting project scope and reporting including developing and maintaining Delivery Road Maps and Delivery plans.
  • Defining and managing priorities against the available capacity of multi-disciplinary team members.
  • Team lead of day-to-day operations of a technical agile team including facilitating and leading scrum ceremonies such as 'Daily Stand up', Planning and Retrospectives.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal stakeholders including executive.
  • Demonstrated experience a collaborative, innovative and efficient working culture.

Desirable Criteria:
  • SAFe Certifications and/or experience working in a SAFe or similar environment;
  • Scrum Master certification;
  • Experience in Identity Access Management technologies (Ideally ForgeRock);
  • Experience using Microsoft Azure Devops, Microsoft TFS or Miro to manage project delivery.
Key Performance Indicators Performance will be measured against the Deliverables.
DocumentationThe following reporting will be required throughout the duration of the engagement:
  • Weekly timesheet completion,
  • Weekly status reports; and
  • Ad hoc reporting (as requested).
Referee Requirements Candidates must provide a minimum of 2 referees.

Security clearanceA BASELINE security clearance (minimum) is an essential requirement for all positions in the Department's IT Division.
All individuals must already hold, or otherwise obtain, a BASELINE security clearance (minimum) before they can be employed or engaged by the Department and prior to the provision of any ICT access by the Department to an individual. An individual cannot be employed or engaged by the Department, or granted any ICT access, unless they hold a BASELINE security clearance (minimum).
All individuals must have their security clearance formally recognised by the Department before they can be employed or engaged by the Department or granted any ICT access.
Continuing employment or engagement by the Department is strictly contingent on maintaining a BASELINE security clearance (minimum). Failing to maintain a BASELINE security clearance (minimum) may result in an individual's employment or engagement being terminated by the Department with or without notice.
All security clearance holders employed or engaged by the Department are required to complete security awareness training on commencement and comply with the Department's Protective Security Policy Framework throughout their employment or engagement. Some requirements also continue after cessation, including the protection of Australian Government information and data access or acquired during an individual's employment or engagement by the Department.
The cost of obtaining a security clearance will be borne by the Supplier.
The Department will use the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency for security vetting purposes. The Supplier and all individuals must provide the Department with all relevant information to assist with the security vetting process and the recognition by the Department of their security clearance. If an individual refuses or fails to obtain a security clearance, their employment or engagement may be terminated by the Department with or without notice.
The Supplier and all individuals must notify the Department promptly and in writing of any change in circumstances that are likely to affect the Department's assessment of an individual's suitability to hold a security clearance. Other RequirementsPrior to any engagement, candidates will have to provide evidence of:
  • Police check (not older than 6 months),
  • Proof of Australian Citizenship, and
  • Non-disclosure agreement (signed), and
  • Conflict of Interest (signed).
