About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Power BI Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise Power BI solutions that empower decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in data modelling, SQL, and Azure Databricks, along with experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Git version control. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and well-structured data products.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models tailored to business needs.
• Design and implement efficient data models, ensuring high performance and usability.
• Work closely with business users and development teams to translate requirements into actionable insights.
• Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows in Azure Data Factory for reliable data ingestion.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth deployments and version control using Git.
• Optimise Power BI reports for performance, usability, and scalability.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
• Continuously refine data engineering and BI best practices for efficiency and consistency.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and advanced data visualisation.
• Proficiency in SQL for data transformation, query optimisation, and data modelling.
• Experience with Azure Databricks for data processing and analytics.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for orchestrating and automating data workflows.
• Ability to collaborate with business users, analysts, and developers to enhance BI solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to ensure business and technical alignment.
