About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Power BI Data Engineer to design, build, and optimise Power BI solutions that empower decision-making. This role is ideal for someone with strong expertise in data modelling, SQL, and Azure Databricks, along with experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and Git version control. You'll collaborate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable, and well-structured data products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models tailored to business needs.
- Design and implement efficient data models, ensuring high performance and usability.
- Work closely with business users and development teams to translate requirements into actionable insights.
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT workflows in Azure Data Factory for reliable data ingestion.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, ensuring smooth deployments and version control using Git.
- Optimise Power BI reports for performance, usability, and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy best practices.
- Continuously refine data engineering and BI best practices for efficiency and consistency.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and advanced data visualisation.
- Proficiency in SQL for data transformation, query optimisation, and data modelling.
- Experience with Azure Databricks for data processing and analytics.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory for orchestrating and automating data workflows.
- Ability to collaborate with business users, analysts, and developers to enhance BI solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to ensure business and technical alignment.
