About the Role

As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be part of the Research, Analytics, and Data Branch within the Digital Solutions Division. Reporting to the Assistant Director, you will play a key role in managing, structuring, and optimizing data for use by analysts. Your work will directly contribute to improving health data analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs related to health data analytics.
• Design and develop Power BI solutions in an Azure environment, leveraging Data Bricks where applicable.
• Develop and optimize data models and queries for high-performance, scalable dashboards and reports.
• Implement data cleansing, transformation, and enrichment processes to ensure accuracy and integrity.
• Create visually compelling dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into health data trends.
• Ensure security compliance for handling sensitive health data within a government sector environment.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and training to team members.
• Work closely with stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure seamless collaboration and co-design.

What We're Looking For

• Strong experience in Data Engineering, ideally in a government or health-related setting.
• Expertise in Power BI, Azure, and Data Bricks.
• Proficiency in data modelling, ETL processes, and SQL.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.
