Experis are proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading energy provider in Perth for a Senior Data platforms Architect for a three year contract. As the Senior Data Platforms Architect, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of scalable data solutions that drive our client's strategic business goals. You will work with cutting-edge cloud platforms and data technologies to architect a robust, efficient, and future-proof data environment.

This role is ideal for a professional with a deep understanding of data platforms and warehousing, especially in the Energy & Utilities sector, who is ready to take on a leadership role in modernising the company's data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement robust data platform and warehousing solutions.
  • Architect and lead data solutions across cloud environments, including Azure and AWS.
  • Leverage Data Mesh and Data Fabric methodologies to create a scalable and distributed data architecture.
  • Work with tools such as Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, Informatica, and DBT to optimise data pipelines and management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data architecture with business strategies.
  • Ensure data quality, integration, and governance best practices are implemented across projects.
  • Provide technical leadership to data engineers and developers.

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Perth, WA.
  • Industry Expertise: Proven experience in the Energy & Utilities sector.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Data Platforms & Warehousing expertise.
    • Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Snowflake, and cloud solutions (Azure & AWS).
    • Data Mesh and Data Fabric architecture.
    • Experience with Informatica (including IICS) and DBT.
  • Strong understanding of data integration, data quality, and governance best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.
