The Role

As Senior Desktop Support engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance such as troubleshooting hardware and software issues and ensuring smooth operation of the IT infrastructure. This role demands a maestro who can deftly navigate the complexities of hardware and software ecosystems.

The role is based in Newcastle and requires to be onsite most of the times.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform remote or onsite troubleshooting on technical issues (PC or network related).
  • Perform hardware swap (PC/Laptop/Peripherals).
  • Able to prepare documentations (review/update based on technical findings).
  • Able to train and guide others (process and technical basics).
  • Punctual and able to work on various tasks (includes moving devices, boxes).
  • Local Government Customer Site - Will require someone trustworthy and reliable.
  • Fast learner

Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 5+ years' experience working in a service desk, desktop, or technical support role
  • Good customer soft skill
  • General IT desktop experience under typical office environment
  • Experience in trouble shooting along with infrastructure team related to imaging, packaging, Microsoft administration, network
