Federal Government Depart, currently undergoing a large GRC Transformation Project, are looking for a Technology Risk Specialist for an initial 12-month contract. This is a critical strategic initiative, achieved through the implementation of a new enterprise software solution, to uplift and unify how GRC is managed within the organization.

Working with the project team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing insights and guidance on GRC best practices, regulatory requirements, and organisational standards as they need to exist in the new GRC solution.
  • Working alongside key business stakeholders, capture and define key GRC data structures and hierarchies and ensure that these are translated into the configuration of the new GRC solution.
  • Partner with the Change Manager to develop and execute change management plans ensuring smooth adoption and user acceptance.
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable information.

Required skills & experience:

  • Extensive experience working in the Governance, Risk and Compliance domain - preferably in highly regulated industries.
  • Technically proficient with an understanding for how GRC enterprise software applications can support the function
  • Proven experience in management or implementation of GRC systems within an organisational environment.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance requirements, risk management frameworks, and demonstrated experience working within second and third lines of a 'three lines of defence' model.
  • Technical proficiency in GRC software and related technologies.
  • Previous experience working within a project structure, with an understanding of the delivery life-cycle - particularly around GRC implementations.
  • Experience in working with large collections of data, and particularly in the risk and compliance domain.
  • A background in reporting, both internal to an organisation and external to relevant regulators / governance bodies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
