About the Role: Experis Australia has been engaged by a leading Canberra-based client to source a highly experienced Test Manager to assess, manage, and conduct testing for projects within the ICT Services Division. This role requires a professional with a proven track record in managing testing for large, fast-paced projects, along with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Working in a dynamic ICT environment, you will play a key role in reviewing and improving testing processes to align with industry standards, ensuring testing is conducted at a high standard. Your expertise will be pivotal in test planning, design, execution, defect management, and the creation of essential test artefacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand testing requirements and dependencies.

  • Develop a comprehensive Test Strategy that aligns with program and project objectives, defining test scope, resources, timelines, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Allocate and manage testing resources, environments, and tools for efficient test execution.

  • Oversee and conduct test planning, design, review, execution, and defect management.

  • Prepare and review test artefacts, including test plans, progress reports, summary reports, and closure documents.

  • Identify potential testing risks and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing to Test Managers and Test Analysts.

  • Ensure compliance with software testing lifecycles and best practices.

  • Work within a structured testing framework to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

  1. Extensive experience in Test Management, software testing industry standard processes, and testing lifecycles.

  2. Strong experience in assessing and improving testing processes within projects, providing expert recommendations for enhancing test maturity and quality assurance.

  3. Proven ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver test deliverables and ensure business-fit solutions.

  4. Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders.

Desirable Skills:

  • Knowledge and experience in automation and performance testing.

  • Strong leadership qualities and a proactive work ethic.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • This role is based in Canberra, ACT.

  • Applicants must hold a Baseline Security Clearance or higher.
