Experis Australia has been engaged by a Federal Agency to source a VMware Engineer

Join a high-performing team within a Federal Government Agency, working alongside APS staff, agency employees, and contractors. This role will focus on developing and operating VMware virtualization platforms using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), as well as designing, testing, and deploying new VMware software versions.

Due to the sensitive nature of the project, further details will be shared upon application.

• Develop and operate VMware virtualization platforms using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
• Design, test, and deploy new versions of VMware software.
• Regularly monitor and check system status.
• Provide leadership and guidance to technical team members in developing and operating virtual machines in VCF.
• Manage backup and recovery services for VCF environments.
• Automate backup and recovery processes for enhanced efficiency.
• Oversee performance management of the virtual infrastructure.

• Proven experience in developing and operating VMware virtualization platforms using VCF.
• Strong expertise in designing, testing, and deploying new VMware software versions.
• Hands-on experience in backup and recovery services, including automation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage performance and troubleshooting of virtual infrastructures.
• Leadership experience, providing guidance to technical team members.
• VMware Professional Certification (VCP or equivalent) is mandatory.
