We are currently recruiting WebOps Engineer to join our Federal Government Department client!

The Department is building significant capability within a major digital transformation program. We are seeking a skillful WebOps Engineer to join a multi-disciplinary team to provide support to the complexities of the web-based applications and the systems that support them. This includes the deployment and oversight of the on-going operational requirements of the digital service and solutions being delivered.

Your duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work across multiple delivery teams to promote and enable DevOps practices.
  • Deliver common infrastructure platforms and patterns for continuous delivery, automated deployments and robust monitoring.
  • Build and operations culture, capability and processes within delivery teams to enable developers to effectively take responsibility for the operation of their services.
  • Supports incident response, post-mortems and improvement
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary team events as required

Skills & experience required:

  • In depth experience in operating high-volume web applications in a cloud environment
  • Strong track record delivering self-service tools to enable teams to deploy and monitor their own applications
  • Excellent capability in using configuration management tools like Puppet or Terraform
  • Extensive experience working with continuous integration tools - CI/CD
  • Solid experience of networking concepts like HTTP, TCP/IP and TLS
  • Deep knowledge of AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
  • Previous software engineering capability highly regarded
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security best practice
  • Strong understanding of modern cloud-native architectures
  • Collaborative team player
  • Outcome focused with a solution first mindset

*Australian Citizenship is required - Baseline is preferred but not essential*
